How do our board Dems feel about Mamdani becoming the young face of your party?

I'm an apostate Dem who last voted for the party when Bill ("the end of the era of big government) Clinton was a blue dog Dem.

When Obama came along I foresaw that the party was going down a path favored by radical 1960's academics but he cleverly concealed this with empty platitudes.

Mamdani hides very little.

So is the country ready for this lurch into seizing the means of production or are we fundamentally capitalists?

The NYC voters will decide who they want to be their mayor. It’s called Democracy.

Pretty big jump to crown the energetic candidate the “face of the party.”

Perhaps you should ask a real question: “How do our board Republicans feel about Trump being the face of your party?”

He will be the greatest fundraiser ever for the GOP.

When your party is a coalition of loons, this is what you get.

Name 5 more notable non-retired Dems right now in the public realm than Mamdani.

Curly, the ACA was hardly an "Empty Platitude"...and since its passage, it has grown in acceptance

by the millions who need it most...and the GOP has yet to offer even a hint of something better. The ACA was never offered as the "Be All and End All" for our grossly expensive HC costs and Lack of coverage for ALL Americans...there's much more work to be done, but a least the Dems are moving the ball forward.

If anything is "EMPTY"...it's your posts ;-)

As for Mamdani, many of his policies have been implemented elsewhere in the USA to favorable reviews...and being a 'Democratic Socialist' is a far cry from "Communism", as several other democracies on this planet can testify. Let's see if he wins and then performs...New Yorkers won't hesitate to let everyone know their opinions.

order to understand how the ACA came to be…and help so many Americans. Mr. Brill goes on to share his views on ‘Next Steps’…

Here’s hoping several others on this board do the same.

Bottom Line…the ACA was a major step forward.
