Maybe you can share with us the financial pathology that Mamdani would reek on NYC...his taxes on
the wealthy and corporations are near duplicates of what some other states (like NJ) are doing...w/o going bankrupt. Stop posting "Fuzzy Notions", and give us facts, data and at least some degree of substance to back up what seems to be nothing more than an uninformed opinion.
Polls well with immigrants and young people. 2008 and COVID have irreparably shaped young people.
Even among young Republican and republican-leaning gen alpha, there's a penchant toward certain socialist ideology favoring ideas like universal healthcare and wealth tax.
Blame circumstance, a failing education system, lack of opportunity, etc., but a Muslim, anti-capitalist wouldn't have been thinkable after 9/11. but now is a viable candidate.

I was born in NYC and lived in Queens through most of my grammar school days...learned how to
play all the 'City Games' of Stick Ball, Stoop Ball, Hand Ball, etc....took the Q44 bus to 1st Grade in Flushing...on my own, btw...with "Mike the Cop" there at the Bus Stop making sure us little ones were OK...and I still have relatives in and around the City.
