I worked in a meat factory during the summers of HS and early college.....

I wouldn't eat hot dogs for many years thereafter, and I was in a state would good "meat" laws.

There is a BIG difference between "meat" and "beef".

"Meat" means anything organic...ie...anything from the cow at all...hooves, bone, skin, genitals...anything.
"Beef" on the other hand means the better stuff - muscle, liver.

A lot of southern state meat laws back in the late 70's were downright scary. Even in Indiana, they allowed saw dust for filler.

You are safe with Ball Park Franks....be careful out there!
