Trumpers have only themselves to blame for the Blue surge…

In yesterday’s elections. Prop 50 passed as well. Could this be a prelude to a big change of power in 26? Time will tell, but it’s a fact that Trump’s approval within his own base is declining.

A "Blue Surge"?

If you consider that to be a surge, you are very likely headed for disappointment.

NJ is bluer than blue, and has been for a while. VIrginia is getting there. Tons of government employees.

The real story here is that tens of thousands of voters decided to vote for someone who stated, in seriousness, that he would like to murder the children of a political opponent. There really is no way to rationalize him, certainly, nor the people who voted for him. Truly "deplorables."

rebuking voter repression by an autocrat.

Given that Trump can't possibly change his Malignant Narcissism, the fervor of all those who turned out to vote in favor of that issue will be sustained all the way up to, and through, the 2026 Mid-Term elections.

But, I think we see that is a pipe dream. MAGA is doubling down on The Left (GOP civility wasn'tstopping the Left, so Trump is trying something new, and I don'tblame him). Now the Left will double down on MAGA. The downward spiral continues. Voting won't stop it. Voting on each side only tries to affect the direction of the spiral...clockwise or counterclockwise.

Blue surge? Blue candidates won in blue areas. Blue Cali passes Prop 50. Another shocker.

Now let's talk Texas passing all 17 of their propositions. Weird MSM isn't covering that.

Of course he lied as usual.

Texas and California have canceled each other out as far as redistricting.

You seem to be talking about unaligned moderates. Guess I never thought of them as "Trumpers." I'm not seeing any "remorse" among the Trump voters I know. I think they were realists all along, who knew what they were voting against, and what they were willing to pay to oppose it. But it may be that some of the moderates don't have the mental fortitude to live with their own decisions, and therefore voted for more balance...even a governor who opposes parental choice in education, which is amazing.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of redistricting either, but what did you expect after Texas did the same exact thing? Abbott would argue that it’s democracy at its core.

Despite being on full notice, they don't like the egregious abuses of power and blatant disregard for the rule of law, coupled with the realization that the average American's kitchen table issues are irrelevant to Trump.

The "tell" will be what the House and Senate majority do going forward. I will be surprised if they remain dormant.

On the other hand, the Dem/Progressives might now be so full of themselves that try to reignite the Wokeism that generated the Trump reaction.

intimidation of GOP legislators to do as they are told...many Republicans would join Democrats to advance bipartisan legislation were it not for the threats made to them and their families (this from comments made publicly and privately to Dem members by Reps))...Note that under Trump there isn't even an attempt by the GOP to work together to end the Shutdown.
