Obviously your view on who is responsible is going to be determined by your political preferences.

But we all should be hoping that a deal is made soon - because this will really drop a turd in the Thanksgiving-travel cereal bowl.

Both sides have drastically miscalculated this issue.

The left is conflating Mamdami, VA, NJ and prop 50 with support for this issue. Those are unique situations and that’s not necessarily the right conclusion.

The right incorrectly assumes that the public understands what is going on and naturally sees the flaw in the Democrats’ approach. That’s inaccurate.

The longer this goes, the harder it will be for the “losing” side to save face. This is a mess and as you point out, stupid.

The public will blame the party in power.

The Republicans never seriously engaged the Democrats to prevent a shutdown.

Yesterday’s verdicts will force Republicans to find a path to lane the plane.

Look at the voting results in northern Virginia where thousands of federal employees live.

You are flat out wrong.

The polling strongly suggested Trump would lose to Kamala and Hillary.

And the Democrats won decisively last night, consistent with polling.

It’s one story. I posted above about it.

But that’s not the national story.

And you'll lose the midterms and the presidency as a result. That's my hypothesis.

You probably won't realize it blew up in your face because you'll be blaming white women or something.

Just wait until the 2026 Mid-Terms.
