He was obviously guilty. The jury just decided to nullify the application of the law in this case, as is their right. Do you support jury nullification?
Per my reply below to Emerson Lake & Palmer, a jury is the final check ‘n balance that protects one’s liberty from Government overreaching.
I guess, given your line of work, I get why you might want to keep that a secret. Well, your secret is safe with me. Jury nullification is a good thing, not a bad thing, like pardons. Can it be abused (like pardons)?...of course, like anything else, it can be abused. But, the question is this: Is it better to have it than not have it.
But, when you pretend that "not guilty" always means "not guilty," you are just trolling or gaslighting. At least be honest. You support this particular assault, and you are happy they guy got away with it, even though he is very guilty.
This case was overcharged as an assault. It was a disorderly conduct at best.
So the verdict wasn’t really a nullification.
Either way, the jury’s message is that this prosecution was nonsense from the jump.
...of a law enforcement officer, no less...which usually increases the charge, not reduces it. If taking a cafeteria tray out of someone's hand is assault (you know the case), then throwing the contents of that tray on someone is a step worse.
When it comes to Leftists, they are "overcharged," but when it comes to the Right, "no one is above the law." That viewpoint is Stalinist: not enforcing the law fairly & impartially, but rather selecting the man, and then picking the crime you want.
If the cop were a real man, he would have laughed it off.
But go ahead and fire up the persecution complex.
It was assault!

and later was ridiculed by fellow officers for bringing those charges…putting it all together they decided to do the Right…snd Just Thing…I.e. “Not Guilty” Verdict.
MAGAs are on the lowest level of Kohlberg’s Hierarchy, except when it comes to Trump…then any charges are “Hoaxes” by Democrats.

What do you think would happen if you tried that trick on your local county PD? You think he would buy you candy and flowers? It doesn't matter if it's a brick, spit, or a Subway, it's assault of a Federal officer. What would you do if this coward threw it at you? TDS has literally destroyed the moral compass of the anti-Trumpers. If this twit threw a sandwich at a Capitol police officer on J6, I guarantee he would have been jailed.
and you know it. You really should work on your Trump psychosis. You people truly are blind.
I want to know if you think lobbing a sub at the ICE dude warrants jail time.
Send him to Disneyland. Give him an award. Make him spend an hour talking with Big Mike. I do agree J6 was much worse than throwing a Sub at a federal agent when you consider an unarmed female was murdered in cold blood by an officer who already had a dubious reputation. So we agree on that. Anyway, this discussion has reached its limit. You can have the last word.
Trial by jury is a fundamental right. The jury is the ultimate check’n balance to protect an individual’s liberty from the power of the State.
In this instance, a unanimous jury was not convinced the Government met its demanding burden of proof.
Yield.
