A group of us at my company had a conversation with General James Mattis…

Most of the conversation pertained to leadership and military to civilian transition. He shared some of his military experiences and how honored he was to serve our great country.

He told us about the difficulties he had when he was Sec Def. While he butted heads with Trump and other cabinet members, he didn’t attack or talk shit about Trump directly during the conversation. I respect that and I respect that he took the high road. I wish our commander in chief would do the same.

I doubt few people who have read about Mattis can do anything but respect him.

He's basically a Renaissance man, thus, a man born at the wrong time.

Well put. He’s a great man…

And many people don’t know that he actually enlisted in the Marines and later became an officer through ROTC. One of my favorite military officers of all time.

The down votes are telling. Seems even great Americans like General Mattis has his detractors…

It's not quite as blunt as Rex Tillerson, but the point is clear.

He avoided direct attacks. I like that as he stayed on topic. His input and advice brought a lot of value. He’s a great American.

Or, do you plan on sitting back and just waiting until he leaves office in 3 years? If you plan on waiting, how "clear and present" is his danger, and how serious is his danger, really. Sounds like you don't take your own words seriously.

The kind of language you use has the effect of making insane leftists pick up a rifle and become would be assassins. You should probably rethink how you speak, unless it is your intent to actively advocate for immediate violence against the president.

Pointing out the danger Trump poses is neither an endorsement of, nor a incitement to, violence.

Have someone explain that to you, if the words are too big.

Ok, so he's not an autocrat and democracy is still alive in America. Just say that instead.

your hyperbolic musings moot. DJT's Actions and Statements, however, substantiate my statement of his being a "Clear and Present Danger" to America and the World...to wit...

Domestically, Trump has severely disrupted long established, and effective, government agencies by cutting skilled and critically needed resources (people)...without cause...e.g. firing Nuclear Weapons Management personnel...firing CDC Specialists...firing Inspectors General...etc....Then there are his Tariffs...falsely identified as Revenue Sources, when in reality they are Taxes on American citizens...and keeping the list short, there's DJT's questioning of his need to follow our Constitution...evidenced by this failure to ensure Due Process for ALL residents of the United States.

Internationally, Donald Trump seeks and accepts assistance from arguably our worst enemy to win the 2016 election...even to the point of having his campaign manager and son work closely with Russian agents to achieve that end....then, after winning election, he meets with Vladimir Putin...in total secrecy and no transparency...with the result that he never takes action that would impede that War Criminal.

These examples are but a small selection of a much larger list that substantiate my statement..

Yes, Donald J. Trump is a "Clear and Present Danger to America and the Free World".
