Everyone agrees we ought not be in this LeapEx. This was an intelligence failure, a grossly mismanaged withdrawal, and a woeful lack of pre-planning the “how” part in quickly getting US citizens, assets, and friends out of Afghanistan. The math and logistics dictated much greater urgency weeks ago.
But, criticism and accountability are for another day.
For all you rear echelon commandos who firmly believe we have a moral obligation to evacuate every American and every swinging dick who helped over the past 20 years, … I am with you … but ask yourself whether you are OK sending in 400k US troops (if that’s what it takes) to get ‘er done? Ask yourself whether your sons and daughters are ready to suit up and answer the bell, to do what it takes to honor our moral obligations?
Ask yourself if you are willing to accept all the friendly Afghan foreign nationals (and their families) into the United States? After all, they would otherwise be in mortal danger if left behind, correct?
Now ask yourself when Latinos come to our southern border fleeing grave mortal danger, seeking refugee status per US law, why couldn’t so many of you channel your humanity then?

their lives in a most heinous way.
You do know that two things can be true at the same time?
Biden fecked up the withdrawal.
Orange’s embrace of the Taliban was disgraceful.

swamp out. It’s a fucking disgrace. I don’t want to see another post about Biden or McConnell giving more talking points about what’s good for America. They are fucking losers. We have to figure out a way to take our government back. Not through force but electing the right leaders.
Speaker of the house ..We need age and term limits, these clowns stay forever because theyre living high on the hog, ripping off taxpayers with cushy jobs, why would they leave Enough of Biden, Pelosi, Shumer, McConnell....THyeyve gotten enough from the public trough..

Colin Powell at at press conference during the first Gulf War saying me will find the enemy and we will kill them. WTF happened to our military leaders?
Reporters were shocked that Rumsfeld would say such an uncouth thing.
But, in this war, territory is irrelevant. You can't win by taking control of territory.
You need to kill the enemy in sufficient numbers that their movement falters.
Capturing them and releasing them merely delays the time when you end up having to kill them. It should be clear that we won't release prisoners until the war is over. The war will be over when the combined enemy (al Qaeda, the Taliban, ISIS) publicly renounces further attacks on the US...so, some time in the next century, at best. If they don't do renounce war, then we should just keep their prisoners in prison (effectively a life term).
