The "Affordable" (sic) Care Act was a platypus and thus an evolutionary dead end.

It was always impossible to mate universal government health care with capitalistic insurance.

Luigi chose the wrong target.

100%. I said this repeatedly leading up to the Obamacare debacle.

Our govt was built intentionally to have one side blocking the other so as to avoid big changes and be tolerable to all.

There was never an ability of the US govt to manage healthcare. Comparing our great system to other countries was foolish.

This is why the Ins Co’s & drug Co’s were si strongly in favor of Obamacare.
They couldn’t believe Obama was doing it.

Same with the hospital systems.

But those rich (and unorganized) doctors just had to pay - they were the cause of the high premiums back in the day per the libs- just ask 94.

And to be clear, while I personally fought Obamacare in every way that I could, I knew that I would (and did) benefit from the payoff as hospital systems were given more where-with-all and impetus to buy medical practices and treat the more veteran doctors well.

So this is not a financially influenced assessment on my part - quite the opposite.
