My view from the Balkans this Thanksgiving.
We should be extremely grateful to live in a society that is not incredibly tribal and corrupt, The various groups here are in a perpetual conflict that prevents any meaningful progress and the level of hatred is marginally genocidal.
I suppose this goes back many many centuries. The fact that we got a fresh start at governance by a relatively homogeneous group of folks was extremely propitious. But the key to the future requires assimilation. The Euros are learning this the hard way,
Open borders is suicidal.

Just have Congress pass a bipartisan Border Security and Immigration Bill and stop repeating
that mindless "Open Borders" trope...then we'll be back in business as the world's shining example of Democracy...and Diversity.
