This is absolutely a crime. Just pure murder at sea.

Or the Secretary of War Crimes.

Make no mistake: sailors adrift at sea after the ship has sunk are not legitimate targets.

They MUST be rescued. There is no ambiguity. They are not considered a threat.

Exactly. It’s like shooting enemy soldiers who are trying to surrender.

You don't trust the US courts to try him? Don't tell me you think the US courts can be controlled...

The day the US lets the Hague try the US Secretary of War, it is the beginning of the end for the US

Not sure why anyone, left or right, would cheer for that. I guess you are definitely not an America First guy. Shame on you.

If anyone even tried to arrest him overseas, that would be cause for a Declaration of War...or at least immediate seizing of assets and embargo of all trade with that nation. If any US president turned him over, that would be cause for impeachment and/or arrest after his presidency for treason. Try Hegseth here, or don't try him at all.

The United States is not bound by ICC, as we are not a signatory to the Rome Statute.

The objection, ironically, is that the ICC does not have all the due process protections of the US Constitution.

It is exactly that reason why I personally would relish Hegseth and other war criminals face trial at The Hague. “Shoot first and ask questions later” is inconsistent with the standards of a Cabinet Secretary.

Imagine other nations blowing up US private vessels suspected of “narco terrorism.”

I agree. As much as I detest Hegseth, this would be a bad thing.
