Electronic warfare assets have been moved to the region. Also the USNS Mercy is not reporting its position. Mock all you like, but these are signs of imminent action.
Not too late to back down or change our minds (or mind - only one matters). But an attack may commence any time...although probably not before tonight.

Why would the Mercy adopt location reporting practices that would alert our enemies?

Which is why I was wondering why they do that. There may be a simple answer; I just don't know it.
Interesringly, CNN reported today that the tanker carrying sanctioned oil that the Coast Guard seized under a warrant, that tanker was spoofing its location to make it seem like it was somewhere else. That alone makes it seem like the tanker was up to no good.
What bothers me most is that this is not geopolitical... it's transactional.
It makes zero sense for us to appease a genocidal dictator threatening Europe but attack a banana republic one in South America.
Trump sees everything through the eyes of a business deal maker.
This narrowmindedness is not in our country's or the world's long-term interest.
