They asked him about the ballroom / east wing.
He said every single president he served, from both parties, complained about the lack of permanent entertainment space. They were constantly putting up and taking down tents on the lawn, whereas all other nations had permanent facilities to entertain and honor foreign dignitaries.
He said future presidents will be very happy to have the new facility.
Not the answer they were looking for, obviously, but the interview was live, so they were stuck.
This issue was not a big one for me, but I know it was very important to the Leftists here who wanted to criticize Trump (and apparently every other of the past 7 presidents.)
