I guess Mamdami will not be joining the Venezuelans celebrating in NYC

for him. He's a dirt bag. Following Chavez, he'd have to be terrible. We American's knew that back then. We all asked, what is it they see
in this guy? He's a real douchebag. What is he selling that Venezuelans are buying and promoting.
And no supreme court would ever grant him special powers beyond his mandate as president. No one would be able to trust him.
Well, at least it couldn't happen here.
We as a nation would never have tried to alter voting rights in this country by stripping away all laws protecting that right and we surely see
Venezuelans aren't all that smart, so they're easily duped. A bus driver - to president?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you MAGA.

the Country.
I'm in wait and see mode. If this is a pure play against Venezuela, then it is a good move for the Venezuelan people, but I can't say I support it.
I am starting to wonder if this is an anti-China play, to let them know that if they take Taiwan, we will lock down Venezuela (much the same way the English did to neurtral Iceland in WWII to lock in Germany). 78% of Venezuelan oil goes to China. If it doesn't, that could cripple China, much the same way that Japan was crippled by lack of oil in WWII.
Now that I have answered your question, please answer my question, which was directly on point to your initial post, but you are avoiding it anyway.
then we’ll talk about your issue….

for some undetermined amount of time...do you have any problem with that?...do you believe it is legal?
I think the concept of "legality" is ambiguous at best when applied between sovereign nations. Legality is usually decided by the victors.
Regarding this case, look at some other similar examples for comparison: Was it "legal" to arrest Noriega? ...or Saddam Hussein?
Was it "legal" to attack Qadaffi to effect regime change in Libya?
You act like you know, so please tell me if you do know. I am not so confident. Strange that you act so confident, but avoid all discussion.
Query: Would it be "legal" for Mamdani to arrest Netanyahu? I don't think so under US law, because he is a mayor, not POTUS exercising his war powers. What say you?
If you don't think arresting Maduro was legal, how would you remedy the situation?...like we do in the US, by letting the arrestee go? Would you support releasing Maduro and reinstating him as the leader of Venezuela?
If you don't want to answer any of my questions, I will honor your wish not to discuss this issue. Or, perhaps you are not as confident of your position on these issues as you pretend, which is also fine, but how can you be so indignant when you are ignorant on the subject?
as 'credentialed' as you can find....per this lead-in excerpt...let me know your thoughts after reading it...
-----------------
On Saturday morning, President Donald Trump announced that the United States military, working with American law-enforcement officials, had carried out a strike in Venezuela, capturing the country’s President, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores. Maduro was indicted in a federal court in New York for his role in what the Administration claims is a narco-terrorism conspiracy. At a press conference later on Saturday, Trump said, “We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition.” He also said that he was not concerned about “boots on the ground,” referring to an American military presence.
I spoke by phone on Saturday morning with Oona Hathaway, a professor at Yale Law School and the director of its Center for Global Legal Challenges. She is also the president-elect of the American Society of International Law. During our conversation, which has been edited for length and clarity, we discussed whether Maduro can legally be tried in American courts, the long history of U.S. meddling in Latin America, and what makes Trump’s decision so uniquely dangerous.

I understand you don't want to discuss this. But, if you ever want to answer my questions, even with an "I don't know," I will be happy to discuss with you.

...is how open and shameless you are about your own duplicity.
I have no idea what you mean by mentioning Carlson. Perhaps that is your goal...mention something no one can figure out, in the hope that people are distracted from you being so duplicitous.

No one disputes this.
But his crooked regime is still in charge; the corrupt Venezuelan military is intact and in place.
Democracy in Venezuela? You know, like you’re trying to do here.
Bwahahahah
he is and how he got to his position.
