My guess is that historically Democrats have deported more illegals than Republicans. They just did not exploit it for political purposes.
On the other hand, until recently neither party supported illegal immigration as a means of vote buying.

The Border Bill was a worthless piece of garbage and was correctly squashed.

Trying to Bully the other side into accepting only your version is unrealistic and certainly Non-Productive...I'd also say that since our own Constitution was an exercise in "Compromise"...it's Un-American to insist on "Getting" and not "Giving".
