I guess I've looked at this as a win-win.
1) Win: Trump's actions, generally speaking, are positive (IMO) for the nation. So, if he continues unrestricted, the nation will benefit.
2) Win: If Trump's actions overreach the authority of POTUS, and the powers of POTUS are restricted, then that is also a positive for the nation, as separation of powers are clarified.
BUT: If Democrats just try to restrict Trump specifically, in the specific actions he is trying to take now, and they are not trying to limit the power of POTUS generally (and they would allow a different president to take similar actions) ... that is definitely not a win for the nation. That is a win for partisan divide, which is not good for the nation.
Democrats:
- Don't restrict Trump in Venezuela. Restrict the war / law enforcement powers of POTUS generally. For example, limit POTUS from putting bounties on other nations leaders.
- Don't restrict Trump's use of ICE/National Guard. Restrict the power of POTUS to enforce the law generally.

GOP controlled House and Senate haven’t got the spine for it….this will change when Americans voice their opinion in coming elections.
Granted, Congress is too paralyzed to act on anything.
their families, along with political threats (e.g. Primaries) to assert control of the House and Senate.
Trump is a cancer and you apparently don’t consider that a problem…why is that?
I'm sure they're trembling in their boots.
took office...as GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski has publicly stated months ago...and Rep. Swalwell has related in the attached Guardian article.
It's an ongoing mystery as to why you put your trust in a Convicted Felon, Rapist, Fraud, Cheat and perpetual Liar who sides with a man who definitely does NOT want America to be Great...ever...i.e. Vladimir Putin. Care to shed some light on that bizarre situation?

You are actually siting Eric Swalwell, a Democratic representative from California, as your proof here?
employed by Trump against members of our Congress in order to get support for his actions.

I will disregard your physical threats allegation, since I have it on good authority that he is not doing that.
Her publicly stated fears have to do with physical threats to her and her family. I’ve also spoken directly with another lawmaker who referenced similar fears from other GOP Congressional colleagues.
I’m telling the truth…I wouldn’t post without verifying first.

If Trump overreached, then restrict all presidents from overreaching. Don't restrict Trump today while allowing other presidents to overreach tomorrow.
This seems like a non-controversial position, and yet you seem to disagree. Why?
