Frank’s insights about deadly force are well stated.
It is noteworthy that Frank spent two years (of his 25 year career) investigating agent shootings, none of which were deemed an unlawful use of deadly force.
He emphasizes that an agents must subjectively believe he is “imminent danger” of bodily harm or death.
Frank also noted that an agent may have unnecessarily placed himself in jeopardy, but thereafter was justified using deadly force. Both things can be true, and are often the conclusion of investigations involving agent shootings.
Like me, Frank’s initial takeaway when he watched the first video is that this was a bad shooting.
The video clips available to the public have reinforced his opinion that agent was NOT justified to use deadly force. Forensic experts who have examined the footage agree.
Frank notes the abruptness in which the silver ICE pickup truck pulled up to the Honda Pilot, whereby one agent briskly walks up to driver side window. Meanwhile, shooter who had his cell phone out while engaging with Ms. Good’s wife, was initially in front left of the Honda Pilot, which reversed, and then went forward, turning right, in opposite direction of shooter who was moving towards driver side.
It is a lie to characterize Good as “gunning” her Honda Pilot in an effort to run over the agent. [Note the same posters (Baron et al) who were so dishonest about what transpired on January 6th are the same posters who are dishonest about what transpired in Minneapolis]
The bottom line is that regardless of the lies perpetrated by the Trump Administration and parroted on this Board by the cult, the agent was never in imminent danger.
And of course, all three shots fired must be justified.
Frank's notation that no other ICE officer thought to take out their weapon...not even the one
trying to open her door told him that the incident did not call for deadly force being used...it was simply a traffic issue, nothing more.
Indeed. And I would challenge our MAGA posters to apply the same facts to another motorist.
Imagine masked VICE cops (some black and hispanic) charging a 55 year old white female motorist stopped at an intersection, whom the officers have wrongly mistaken with the target of a drug bust investigation. Guns are drawn. The VICE officers are screaming “Get the fook out of the car!”
Startled and frightened, the driver reverses the car several feet, and then moves forward turning vehicle away from the VICE cop at driver side and front bumper.
The VICE cop at front bumper fires three shots, killing the 55 year old woman. Oh, and the bumper grazed the officer.
Would Baron, Hensou, Ned, Iggle, Tampa be posting “she should have complied with their commands!” “She hit him!” “She gunned her car at the officer!” ????
Would Hensou be mocking those who donate to a fund to support her loved ones?
Would the President and Vice President be declaring her death as a righteous exercise of self defense?
And Andrew Wilkow had on a use-of-force expert on his show who said it was a good shooting
The problem with this incident is it's actually extremely complicated to the point even experts can't agree. So as a result liberals automatically go into their mindless condemnation of the shooting while conservatives automatically support it.
Not just a good shooting. A great shooting.

Frank Figliuzzi & Dean Obeidahllah both lean left big time. Any opinions they have are skewed.
Both are in the sack with MSNBC and CNN, so, proceed with caution. Debating this would be like debating the blue hair screaming grandma protesting in Minny. Feel free to ridicule.
Frank Figliuzzi has many decades of FBI experience, just like those serving now…plus, he was chosen
to lead the agency’s lethal force evaluation program for two years. He deserves to be listened to.

He serves this purpose. He doesn't deserve anything . Watch him if you want. Don't watch if you're not feeling it.
I read material that those with opposing views post all the time...how else can we get to the truth?
Take for instance a situation during COVID where Baron was accusing me of lying about a NEJM study I linked...even Jakers joined him and challenged me...so I led him through all the posts in that thread, and to his credit, he read them...ultimately agreeing that I was the one telling the truth...not Baron.
So. in the spirit of Finding the Truth...consider reading what others post and link...you might just be able to correct them...or learn you were on the wrong side...either way, the TRUTH would come out...and that should be everyone's ONLY goal...Agreed?
