The Iranian regime is being run by Muslim extremists...and they are murdering other Muslims...this
sort of religious dichotomy plays out to varying degrees in many other religions...e.g. Netanyahu's Zionists vs. Moderate (Reformed) Jews...typically, the violence comes from the extreme backward thinking conservatives...not the forward thinking liberals.

The Old Testament "God" was as genocidal as any other tribal god back in the day.
Meanwhile, I feel that the myth of Christ's life was revolutionary in that it was not tribal and emphasized empathy at the 2nd Great Commandment.
