she was not going to give credence to his very "Binary" Trope...i.e. "Men Can't Get Pregnant"...which would deny the reality of Gender Dysphoria and its treatment options.
Fortunately for those of us who are graduates of, or admirers of, the University of Notre Dame...our Administration and Board of Trustees are solidly in support of that unfairly marginalized group of God's children.
GD is a Mental Disorder that science is researching to understand...and finding credible evidence of biological causality (Nature) along with environmental (Nurture) factors. It's a shame that Baron's specialty representative organization (ACOG) recognizes the need for more research and continued treatment of GD...but Baron refuses to acknowledge such an "Evidence Based" medical approach.

If you accept that 'Trans-men' exist, then yes...that's the issue here...acceptance of the reality
that persons of both sexes feel compelled mentally to transition from the sex definition they were given at birth to the other.

So, if GD is a mental illness as you said, why not treat it rather than celebrate it?
When someone has a mental illness, such as Cotard's syndrome / walking corpse syndrome (in which they think they are dead), we don't alter reality to match their delusion by killing them. We treat them to correct their perception to match reality.
Or, if they have body integrity disorder (e.g., they think their arm is not their own arm), we don't cut off their arm to make reality match their perception. We give them mental health assistance to correct their perception so it matched reality.
Why not do the same for people who do not correctly perceive their own biological sex?...that is, treat them to help them correct their perception to match reality (and not mutilate their genitalia)?
I've referenced a different Mental Illness before (i.e. Bipolar Disease) that requires medical
intervention (e.g. Lithium medication) in order to treat it...counseling alone can't do that....in many cases of GD, medical intervention is also needed...along with counseling.
The very best Hospitals in America follow such a protocol...you can and should place your trust in them, and not religious extremists.
