I think now is a good time to reiterate something I've been saying for years...
Republicans and Democrats can't solve our country's problems. It's time for a viable 3rd party. Both parties are losing registered voters and independents hold the majority but are homeless.
There is a wide band of sanity in between Biden and Trump's immigration and enforcement policy. Same is true for most issues that matter.
And the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about is debt, deficits and the impending collapse of our social safety net programs. I don't know if a 3rd party can solve these problems but I am 100% certain that these two parties are completely incapable.

It's a non-starter. The Dems and Repubs make the rules. They aren't going to subject themselves to
competition. Now what you can have periodically is a Ross Perot figure, and someday, a guy like that might break through, but it won't lead to a viable third party.
We used to have broad spectrums in both parties. There were liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats. There are none anymore.
Well, Sayonara Republic, then.
