Not sure what you mean. But Flagg in particular has amazed pretty much everyone.

Maybe mockery is too strong a word. The two of them were considered role players
when drafted but that’s all changed now.

Well that’s not quite true at least not as a rookie. An impact player yes and
a contributor. He was said to be (on his draft) a piece of the puzzle, a complement to the rest of the team while learning the pro game especially on defense.
It’s looks like you’re hunting for an argument - fine but there really isn’t one. He and Kneuppel are doing something terrific and to my eyes, are making what are supposed to be seasoned pros very ordinary. I’m sure defenses will figure out how to defend them better and it will all look different in the near future.
Flagg was #1 pick, everyone thought he'd be great.
#1 overall doesn't always hit, but you have Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards in the last few.
