The rationales they come up with to oppose wind are....creative. Here is the Sec of the Interior with a new one. Even dumber than the previous bullshit.
Wind has become a casualty of our political-culture wars. It's woke energy or something, promoted by democrats so it must be bad.

Wind turbines have other problems as well, the future of energy production is probably not mechanical in nature.

I've linked before...it's from David J.C. McKay, former Chief Scientific Advisor to the U.K. Department of Energy and Climate Change.
Radar interference isn't the reason why.

A completely manageable problem. Also, from your article: "Previous studies that examined this question relied on data from European wind farms — however, wind turbines in offshore wind farms located in or planned for the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf are larger, and spaced farther apart than those included in past studies."
Wind power is no solution to climate change. But neither is it evil.

What's next "Rape"?
The concerns about radar interference are valid. They aren't evil, jihadi or weird.
Other concerns are also valid, as even you even seem to agree that this isn't a viable long-term solution for energy.
We have a lot of these things in Iowa, I was talking to a contractor that installs them, services them and replaces them recently. The amount of energy that goes into the entire lifecycle of a wind turbine is pretty incredible and the energy savings are minimal when you consider that they can't replace base-load.
A rational conversation could be had about this if college professors didn't project inflammatory language and intent into the discussion.
