I hope that the police are allowed to help as promised, but....
For libs, all that matters is the optics of a victory. For the Feds, they just want to get the job done of removing criminals. Having access to take those illegal criminals already sitting in MN jails along with actual assistance from MN PD departments should lessen the need for ICE agents at least some.
Tensions were artificially escalated, and this diffuses it. The Left may very well stop sending their professional protestors as the focus moves away from the issue so that the real work can get done.
