From the Washington Post:
"John Kasich apparently feels he has nothing to lose at this point, so he may as well say something that almost makes sense. During his visit to the Washington Post yesterday, he said his party doesnt like ideas. Stand back! Another truth-teller!
Except not so much. The context in which this was uttered was that Republicans USED TO BE interested in ideas".

would love Kasich who actually does have some ideas.
Well, I'm sure he is talking about the voters who appear (small sample here) have no ideas whatsoever, I'm sure his focus is on Trump and Cruz who clearly have zero ideas or vision.
I would agree, he's the best of the lot (which is saying very little about him being a good candidate) but he's more like the country club golf buddy everyone looks up to because he meets the status quo, wears the right pastel shirt, kaki pants and loafers and is always a nice guy in public.
The party establishment is much more in the Kasich camp.
nominate more of the same in one of these three dodos. Picking the least moronic of the three calling him a good candidate is like saying Jeb Bush is the Bush with all the brains.
What is that message and what are the new ideas they have?
when it comes to anything that works for American's and the nation.
Your guys are just corporate shills and they make no bones about it.
When Obama wanted to talk healthcare reform and asked for all to come up with ideas, your guys called him a killer, and a communist. Sure, the ACA is junk legislation for the most part, but the point is, your guys didn't want to participate and that's the entire 7 and 1/2 years of the Obama presidency. So tell me about "cankles and the Bern" and their ideas compared with the non-ideas coming from you three blowhards.
Wonderful message to run on. Carry on.
And your messenger in the Fall, tied to the apron strings of the financial sector and big business. Yes, you have a wonderful message and candidate.
It's avoiding reality.
The crap ACA legislation idea - which began as healthcare reform - was a great idea and one your group of R's (if they're in any way capable of working for American's) should have worked with Obama on this, then maybe it wouldn't be mostly a crap piece of legislation. Maybe it would have been a great piece of legislation. But then, your group's idea of legislation is to put forward over 100 bills and adjunct bills stopping Abortion, keeping Guantanamo open, and more bills to stop possible rules and reform on immigration issues....
The list is endless of what the R's lack of idea's were - but they all include, if Obama wants it we will fight against it -
Perfect example "Cap and Trade". A Republican Idea from back in the early 90's hailed as a great idea by R's. When Obama agreed it was a good idea, the R's called it "voodoo, an economic disaster, communism"....
You do know that this junk legislation was the biggest bill passed by the D's since 1965? And yes it is complete Shite. Your party has also presided over the biggest wealth grab by the rich over the last 8 years enabled by those such as Cankles.
Your group has done nothing for decades (if we're calling "something" the moving forward of America). Again, your group agrees "Our single purpose is to make this President a one term President" is an idea that's positive for American's.
Now your side is offering Trump - Cruz and Kasich as the last ditch effort to spark ideas for American's.
Keepem' coming, Genius.
Where do I defend the achievements of the R's or their choice of cadidates?
The only one mildly palatable this time around is Kasich.
I know your brain has a tough time grasping nuance but I'll try to work with you.
Lesson one: Even if you disagree with your group, you still take them over an even worse option.
You're welcome.
in your group are better leaders and would be better for America than experienced and qualified candidates whom I support.
Okay, your experiment in 2000 with W proved you're incapable of choosing solid representation but, you're willing to make that call again.
PS: try to follow along even though I know it's tough for you - Obama's "signature legislation" known as the ACA would have been far better and not crap legislation had the R's, your group, had a positive influence in the building of it, but then when they were involved they degraded positive legislation and ground it into crap. But you keep going with your idea that the R's had nothing to do with how poor the ACA is.
Talk about denial.
It was crappy from the start James. Built on lies and false assumptions which everyone knew and the R's pointed out.
Denial is a belief that either Cankles the Wall Street whore or the Berne socialist fantasy are the answer.
by R's we can safely say, this bill could never be as affective as it may have been.
But it was Healthcare reform that was the issue and the Public Option would have been the best idea but once again the R's screamed and yelled, calling that idea communism.
Try not to confuse your name calling with facts.
Face it, yer parties signature accomplishment in the last 40 years is a piece of shit.
And you own it, all of it.
I was disgusted at the way he spoke about other women. I don't think he's a conservative. I think the ban on Muslims is ridiculous. And I think the Wall is a pipe dream.
But I'm hoping the rumors are true that he will move towards being more Presidential. After his Florida triumph, he made a whole lot of sense when he spoke about re-patriating the profits of American companies abroad. If he can channel that attitude towards other areas, such as towards tax policies and regulatory policies, he will start to earn my vote. If he keeps his commitment to fire Yellen, that will be good too.
Overall, the Supreme Court has let me down more than Obama. At least I knew what Obama was going to do to this country. However, I didn't think that Roberts would participate in destroying its founding structure.
