Daylight savings needs to go, but not on the half hour.

Dealing with Date/Time offsets is already confusing enough for programmers and causes all kinds of problems from PLCs to databases on up.

Either make DST permanent or eliminate it, and while we're at it go to 24 hour time, eliminating the AM/PM nonsense.

The Daylight Savings Line ran between the two northern Indiana towns, so the Amish figured, "Why don't we just split the difference?"

I believe Newfoundland is the only place with a 30 minute offset currently.

Quite a few central Asian zones have 30 min or even 45 min offsets.
