Should New Yorkers pay for free bus service for the rich foreigners visiting for the World Cup?

Ot is this only a "pilot" program intended to get folks hooked on the free public transportation scheme?

.50 cents perhaps (just using a figure as an example). It suddenly becomes affordable, the city can cut down on
car transportation by creating open bus lanes and so on. Just examples of course.

Free busses won't solve anything and will likely create problems that cannot be fixed. Making above ground
transportation affordable to everyone so that it's a first option when moving about the city is as I see it the smart thing to do.

VA..Chapel Hill NC...Tucson, AZ...Albany, NY...Corvallis, OR...Miami, FL...Bozeman, MT....Park City, UT...and others...all offer Free Bus Service.
