Just keep spending us into oblivion, much of it made up of waste and fraud.

Deficits don't matter! The debt doesn't matter!

look to the example that Clinton set.

This problem can be traced to Reagan's tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Stop trying to straddle the fence and just blame everyone...there is only one way out and it's a balance of well thought out, collaborative cuts in Spending...and progressive tax increases on the wealthy and corporations....just like Clinton and the GOP did. It takes collaboration, time and effort...but it works.

Bill Clinton was the last Democrat to cooperate with the GOP. I don't think his 90's presidency is representative of what Democrats would do now.

and achieved a budget surplus and consequent debt reduction...the odds are that they'll do it again, provided the GOP agrees to progressive taxation of the rich and corporations. It's the only way we're going to get out of this mess. You know it...just admit it and move forward.

BTW, Clinton did a LOT more that just feed off the internet bubble...read the link...

I don't think either of you believe him, and you just want to make some political hay over this, so you are just acting outraged.

if necessary...therefore, Trump and his mentor, Bibi, have opened Pandora's box. Sadly, IMO they both perceive the need for "Emergency Powers" in order to avoid loss of power and will stretch this war out for an indeterminate amount of time. The public doesn't want this war...Military advisors don't want this war (see comments from the Chair of the JCOS)...the stock market doesn't want this war...etc., etc.

Best way out is to ink a deal for JCPOA 2.0...ASAP...not going to be easy unless Congress asserts itself with veto-proof legislation to force the issue...time to put on the Big Boy Pants.

You also noted that a 50% increase in Defense spending was "Just Crazy"...hold that thought as you evaluate DJT's statements/actions...and post accordingly.

I don't. Why can't you state your own position as clearly as that? Are you afraid to say your answer out loud? Are you waiting for talking points from your employer before you comment?

When you talk about the Jews controlling things, you discredit yourself. You think Trump is so weak and willing to be ordered into a war by the mastermind Jews. That is preposterous (that Trump could be made by a foreign leader to do anything he doesn't want to do) and antisemitic (the Jews are pulling the strings).

and China 'Combined' which will exacerbate our already obscene National Debt...as you said 'That's Just Crazy!". Additionally, this war on Iran shouldn't be happening...the JCPOA stopped their nuclear weapons program and it didn't cost us a penny.

Now how on earth did you come up with an accusation of me talking about Jews controlling everything...that borders on downright slander, so for sure you need to answer that question, Kiddo. Note that the Times of Israel has published the accusation of Netanyahu using military attacks on Gaza, Lebanon and Iran to stay in power...and they would know...I'm just echoing their opinion of Bibi.

As for Trump...he is a Malignant Narcissist of the highest order...as such, he has massive insecurities and is easily manipulated as Putin has demonstrated multiple times. DJT can't survive outside the umbrella of the Presidency...without it, he is worthless to anyone, and he knows it. Given that his businesses are not flourishing, and he has monumental legal issues to deal with...just like Bibi...he'll follow any path that offers a glimmer of hope for him, so if using a steady stream of conflicts to hopefully remain in power is plausible, Trump will seize it.

Wake up, Ned...Trump belongs in prison...not the Oval Office...act accordingly.

I don't think he believes his own hysteria either, so he probably won't answer.

You and Chris like to say that the Jews are controlling Trump. You said so above. The "Jews control everything" is typical antisemitism, repeated to encourage others to hate Jews. But, you know this already.

rather than acknowledge Chris' callout of Trump for pushing a "Just Crazy" increase in an already obscene Defense budget, you harp on a number...completely ignoring the essence of the problem...ergo, the 'Disingenuous' label...

I responded to the OP in a sub-thread above. If you want to talk about increasing National Debt (apparently a proper noun in your mind), go to the sub-thread in which I oppose increasing the debt.

Then I responded to Chris in this sub-thread, asking whether he really believes Trump's defense spending demand. You came to this defense spending sub-thread to try to defend Chris (which he is no doubt embarrassed about), but now, having lost the discussion, you are acting like I am off topic when actually you are. You are just trying to cover up the fact that you can't answer a basic yes or no question regarding whether you believe a premise that you chose to talk about. You can't say you believe Trump (too embarrassing for you?), and you can't say you don't believe him (because then your faux outrage is exposed). I suspect the latter is true, but the former is possible. Either way, you should be embarrassed for entering a discussion supporting a claim that you don't even believe yourself.

You can have the last word. I think you've embarrassed yourself enough in this discussion, and since it is obvious you won't answer the simplest question, why discuss further?

The fact of the matter is that 1) Clinton produced a bipartisan budget surplus to lower our Debt...

I've provided clear evidence to back that statement up...and btw, it also shows that since Reagan, the GOP has failed with every administration, thus disproving their claims of fiscal responsibility...and 2) Trump has publicly promoted a "Just Crazy" increase in Defense Spending that is already twice the combined military expenditures of Russia and China...whether it's 50%, or 5%, it is fiscally irresponsible under our current debt conditions...and his Trillions of dollars in tax breaks for the Wealthiest among us and corporations certainly don't help either...again an example of Fiscal Irresponsibility. While we're adding things up...keep a tab on DJT's latest spending spree under the file name of "Illegal War on Iran".

You're still the leader in the clubhouse for "Deflections and Distractions". Not unexpected for someone who follows a Felon, Fraud, Rapist, Insurrectionist and Collaborator with our worst enemy in order to win the Presidency...Imagine that...our Worst Enemy does all he can to get Trump elected, and you think nothing of it.

I welcome any response to care to make...I'm more that ready.
