…but if you are the president of the United States you should not show up at a dignified transfer in a goddam baseball hat. Just shows your utter disregard for the whole thing.

Maybe I’m in the minority here. But Jesus.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is always the baseline for Trump.

Dead US service personnel would never evoke compassion or respect or dignity from Trump.

The only relevant factor would be whether their deaths or future deaths would impact poll numbers. Otherwise, their deaths have about the same impact as losing some trees on one his golf courses due to a storm.

Besides Putin, Edrdogan, Conor and Chris; who has lamented the demise of Khameni?

Even chairman Xi is silent.

Let that sink in.

And then the obvious tell of "it's the cost of it that bothers us". What did it cost to take out Bin Laden ? Way more and was equally justified.

You're only afraid it could be successful, because it would destroy your distorted worldview.

Why do you feel that you are entitled to know the strategy in order to accept the results?

Why are you spreading lies about and pretending to care about the cost?

"The results" is not a legal or moral rationale to launch a war. See Art. I, sec. 8.

Blowing up a Disney cruise ship might be considered a good result to one of our adversaries, but it would violate international law.

And no, "the strategy" is not classified. The execution may be in part.

Unlike Russia, there is a reason why our framers require the consent of Congress, per our Constitution and per statute.

That is a different argument, and one of political convenience for you.

A few months ago, when several national.guardsmen from Iowa died in Syria, I asked "why is the national guard in Syria?" You weren't interested in an answer to my question.

Congress did not declare war on Syria, and I didn't hear a peep about legal or moral rationale from you.

But this is a good thing if you are planning to be the arbiter of legal and moral principle moving forward. I'll support this and join you, forgetting about the past. Bring our national guard home. Start withdrawing troops from the 700-1000+ bases (no one seems to know how many there actually are) throughout the world and focus on the western hemisphere. Russia is Europe's problem, Israel is not our concern. But that is not the world we live in, and not the world you have both tacitly and explicitly supported up until now depending on the color of the President's tie.

I don't care what they wear, what they say, but what they do and why.

The whole pomp and circumstance thing comes from monarchies. No kings baby!
