What’s the over-under on when this non-war ends? Mines, market down, cyber attacks, etc
Americans didn’t ask for this, and once this becomes truly uncomfortable if it hasn’t already, I can’t see support for this continuing. Trump likes quick hits, and this seems to be anything but.
I’d guess Easter, but that may be overly optimistic.

Trump made a huge mistake getting involved in a Holy War between two extremist regimes...
Netanyahu's Zionists and Iran's Ayatollahs...a conflict that will persist for much longer than outsiders will tolerate. His best bet is to focus on a JCPOA 2.0 and declare enough damage has been done to contain Iran's threat in the region for many years to come...
End the conflict and give both Israelis and Iranians time to figure out for themselves what sort of regime they really want.
I don't recall any Israelis chanting "death to Islam." In fact, Muslims vote in Israeli elections.
And remind me of how Judaism was spread over continents by bloody conquests.

Surprise, but libertarians are a very diverse bunch of people.
Libertarians (capital "L") are so varied, and so freedom oriented, that they are essentially dysfunctional as a party.
Some are isolationists. There is no doubt about that.
Others believe that defense of the country is the first and primary duty of government...the last governmental function to cut or wind down, in the pecking order of wasteful government programs. The next most important is justice. All other functions are discretionary.
Iran has been fighting a low grade war against us since 1979. Even libertarians have to pull their heads out of the sand to breathe every so often, and may notice the reality of the threat that Iran is. I don't think I would have ordered the attack on Iran, but I can't say it is bad that Trump did. You can't deny that if Trump's attack works, the entire world, including Americans and the Iranian people, will be much, much better off.

There may be temporary cease fires, since the attention spans of democracies are poor...
...but the war will continue.
If the Left is successful, and is able to initiate a unilateral temporary cease fire, the Islamists will just use the time to re-arm before the next round of the war. This will make the war longer, of course. I figure 100 years, give or take 50, with the intermittent breaks that will occur when the US electorate gets weary of war.
What a luxury...to be able to delude ourselves that we can just decide that we are weary of fighting people, and that therefore the war is over. Our enemies never tire of wanting to kill our children, so deciding to pause the war is really just a decisions to allow the Islamists to re-arm.
If we committed to this 100%, we might be able to end this war in a fraction of the time. But, we won't. Half the nation already wants to pause to allow Iran to re-arm.
Americans are in denial but Iran has been fighting this war for over 40 years.
And Americans keep tiptoeing around that fact. What would you have done if you were all in charge? Send more cash? Pretend that everything is fine? Appease even more? Continue to "negotiate"? What would you all do?
