MAGA is actually quite split on this war. They have even more strident antisemites than do the Dems.
This has deep roots since the America First Movement was pro-Nazis in the late 1930s.
Both parties find it necessary to kowtow to their extremist wings from time to time.

I have some "base" acquaintances. They are split. Several are isolationists.
It is the non-MAGA Trump supporters who believe that isolationism is not the way to go, and who recognize Iran as a top tier threat to peace, and who recognize the value to all nations that this is happening to Iran.
The rural MAGA types I know are just sick of being the world's policeman, which is not an unreasonable position, but puts them at odds with Trump on this issue.
Granted, this is anecdotal...just my experience. But, we've seen polls mistakenly evaluate the Right.
I understand why we are there; however, I don't think they game theoried things out very well. The
revolutionaries should have been provided arms and been prepared to take over the country. 50 years of islamic rule has them impotent to do anything but grin and bear it.
If oil prices continue to escalate, we're going to have another, yet more severe, Iraqui war the large majority of Americans will not support. Beyond that, this war is going to do long-term harm to US support of tight Israeli/US partnership, regardless of its duration.
