Just the facts folks, just the facts. I haven't seen any published opinions referring to this war.

The Iranians suffered approximately 200,000 battle deaths during the eight years of the Iran Iraq War without quitting. It took the combined shock of the USS VINCENNES shooting down an Iranian airliner and Iraq's massive use of nerve agents to retake the al-Faw Peninsula that convinced the Ayatollah Khomeini to agree to a cease fire, and only he had the moral authority to call a halt to the bloodshed, which however also left his regime intact.

This is probably a good indicator for the short term.

No more calls to Holly for kitchen clean-up. RIP old faithful companion.

Instead we are bringing over Marines and amphibious landing ships, in case President Fuckwit orders them to take Kharg Island.

It’s all to try to get the Iranians to open the Strait.

From their perspective, if they do that, then these attacks are likely to happen again. They are thinking about deterring the next war by making the West pay.

Tactical victory, strategic disaster.

Who's in charge of Iran and its military now? Who one single person has the authority to surrender?

No one is in charge. Just commanders who are trying to make a name for themselves of fragmented groups. Am I wrong?
