They are very good. They also never assessed that Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons.
Same with our intelligence community. Iran was building its capability, but had never made any final decisions. Google it if you doubt me.
The biggest opponent of nuclear weapons in Iran? The ayatollah, who thought they were fundamentally un-Islamic.
