Turns out they don’t want to get sucked into our pointless idiot war. Weird.
And it turns out that building a coalition AFTER launching a war is tougher than before. Odd.
If only there was any way to predict any of this.
I think NATO should stay focused on finally building up their militaries to face Russia for now.
Nonetheless, Turkey has been attacked by Iran, so you would think they would move against Iran on that basis. But, if they have no interest in protecting the Strait of Hormuz, then I'm good with them staying away.

To the point: Iran has aggressed against the US through its proxies numerous times through the past few years and decades, and was still calling for the destruction of the United States while acquiring the means to make that happen. Perhaps you are just arguing that there is a statute of limitations on defensive action.
Then I will just point out that Turkey has been attacked several times by Iran, and the United Kingdom bases on Cyprus were also attacked.
Beside the point: I nonetheless don't have a problem with NATO staying out of this, as I stated earlier.
