MLB finally got something right - World Baseball Classic was terrific
Even with all of the silly insurance issues - Jose Altuve not playing for Venezuela and Frankie Lindor not playing for Puerto Rico are just two absurd examples of many - this was a phenomenal showcase for baseball. Thoroughly enjoyed watching these games.
While I was pulling for the US, one would have to be comatose to not share in the joy of the Venezuelan players. Their pride, passion and thrill in winning for Venezuela was wonderful to watch.
Well done, MLB. Now get back to destroying the game with the almost certain 2027 lockout that is looming.

Baseball is global. MLB is promoting the sport. All good.
