This event proves the Iranians lies. It is likely that they had more missiles, and probably more capable missiles destroyed in the preemptive attacks.
They stated their intentions with words. They have shown their intentions with hundreds of actions over 4 decades. But you supported giving them means for their program.

But since you are caught up in definitions so exactly, I thought that I would correct you - these are by definition ballistic missiles with intercontinental range. Now, when they blow you up, you can take solace in semantics - it's all that you've got (and even that, I gave you knowing that you'd try to distract from the threat Iran posed).
They existed when Iran said that they did not.
They were hidden by the Iranians that you chose to trust and provide funding (yes, I know they were seized assets because of multiple severe international violations, but you provided it back them and they used it to fund terrorism and their nuclear weapons program).
They were within a hair of nuclear weapons, they had delivery capability with missiles that could hit not just Israel, but the European continent.
