Although, I'm not sure that distinction would be important for residents of, say, the UK, who are within range of Iran's IRBMs, and could get hit by nuclear capable IRBMs. But, that distinction is very important to political science professors safely outside that range who want to downplay the risk of getting hit by an IRBM-carried nuke, and who want to sound like they know a lot.

Apparently he also wants to draw a fine line between, say, Iran which prompted and funded Oct. 7, and the marine barracks in Lebenon, etc. ... versu the people who carried out those attacks. In his mind, Iranians are not terrorists, even though they fund and organize terror attacks. In his mind, the above posts are 100% wrong because they collapsed those artificial distinctions, and treated cooperating enemies as the same... even though those posts make good points, they contain technical errors which mislead no one. But, this way, he can pretend to respond without actually responding.

I wonder if he draws similar lines between Wagner and Russia. I'm guessing not.
