Major explosion at Texas refinery. Hopefully unrelated, but we don’t know.

And Iran is reporting attacks on its energy infrastructure. Israelis don’t seem to have gotten the message.

Exiting now is almost as stupid as entering.in the first place.

This is my version of two things can be true.
1. We shouldn't be involved in the ME.
2. Kill the Mullahs, the Iranian people deserve liberation.

Send troops, whatever. Just make it better.

"we're this far in ..." implies that America went to war. Nope. "Trump is this far in ..."

Trump acted without congressional authority nor had we been attacked.

Trump acted in violation of US and International law.

Trump went to war.

"we" = the American people = Congress

US went to war against Syria?? Or did we intervene in civil war to thwart ISIS?

Not the same in scope or cost.

Agree there was no formal Congressional vote to approve military presence in Syria, but three Administrations -- Obama, Trump, Biden -- have al cited the 2001 AUMF Act -- authorizing actions terrorists groups.

Moreover, Congress has voted against bills to withdraw US troops from Syria.

That twisted logic could also be applied here.

Is Iran a terrorist regime?

Is Iran on the brink of civil war?

Things can always get worse.

An invasion would make things worse.

I think the best option (among all bad ones) is to declare victory and end it.

So you wouldn't have fired Bob Davie?

Sending troops into Iran would make everything worse.

Time to start talking. Actually talking, not lying about it.

Would it be worse for precious oil tankers trying to navigate the straight?

Would it be worse for the Gulf States (and now Europe) getting attacked randomly?

Would it be worse for the Iranian people living under a brutal murderous dictatorship?

No more half measures, Walter.

Iran is a country of 93 million people. They will resist an invasion.

It is a recipe for a quagmire and carnage.

That’s how it would be worse.
