Ending the filibuster rule? Does this blow up our entire political system?

If the Republicans make this First Strike there is no doubt that the Dems will follow suit when they regain power.

The question is... would the Dems do this anyway if the Republicans leave the Rule in place?

And if they do will they pass legislation that would ensure a one party system going forward?

The one thing I am certain of is that there are members here who would be delighted to see this happen.

Would the Dems do it anyway? Have you never paid attention here?

The Democrats have been in charge of the Senate, you know. And people were urging them to get rid of the filibuster. And they didn’t.

Think has to hold the line here, and pretend that Congress is still a co-equal branch.

There are Dems who disagree with you and they are the ones with energy in the Party.

Getting rid of the filibuster would give the Dems power like "Precious" in the Lord of the Rings.

I'm not sure that TODAY's Dems could resist.

"The other side will do it!" is not a good reason to do the wrong thing

In this case, the other side had the opportunity to do it, and didn't.

Harry Reid started doing away with it, and did so for some votes.

Tyrone, the DNC Rep here in the Open, argues strongly to abolish it...just scroll down this page, and pay a little attention.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.

Chris must have forgot about the last vote to abolish the filibuster.

All Democrats voted for it except for Sinema and Manchin. Both were run out of the party.

The Dems already would have done it if not for Sinema and Manchin.

They will definitely try it again if they get back into the majority.
