“Sell” the operation to the American people or our allies. Not involving or consulting allies before the operation and then expecting allies to jump right in after the fact was a serious miscalculation.
George W Bush was able to get congressional approval and form a coalition. Why couldn’t Trump do the same? I’ll answer that for you…he sucks at foreign policy and he’s alienated our allies who invoked article 5 after 9/11.
