Poured some caissons out in the valley. They have been sitting there for ever, fenced off, safe off, equipment sitting around. Who knows how much this "project" has lost in GC's alone. I bet enough to build a small community for the homeless Cal Vets.

Trains to nowhere in the future. He’s doing a hell of a job in California he rear of the US needs to mirror his plan.
Schwarzenegger...it's the right thing to do (see Japan's and Europe's High Speed Rail Systems), but a lot of Oxen will be gored (i.e. Special Interests), so sadly this mess is the result.
If you have experienced the daily commute into and out of Silicon Valley from the Central Valley (where the only affordable housing exists) then you'd understand why voters keep supporting the project. The fact that the GOP is the legal arm of Corporate Special Interests, there will always be well-funded opposition to any projects that focus on the needs of the lower classes.

Waaaaay too much red tape not to mention lawsuits.
Always fostered forward and positive thinkers. The HS Rail system makes perfect sense…while it wasn’t HS I still recall all the commuters heading into the Big Apple from Westchester and Fairfield counties. CA can and should pursue it.
btw, I’ll mention him again…Sam Liccardo is an open minded moderate Democrat who did an excellent job of managing San Jose with its ~1M population by cutting red tape…encouraging private investment and using creative ideas to improve housing affordability. decrease homelessness, improve safety/law enforcement, etc…just Google his name and you can read all about what he’s actually DONE …as opposed to those who only carp about problems they have no idea how to solve….sound familiar?
