A weekend in Paradise Lost

Lived in the Bay Area in the early 70s and thought it was heaven on earth.

Stiil looks the same physically but the vibe is gone.

Layoffs in Silicon are surging.

Gas and taxes are insane.

Did not go into the City by the Bay I once loved more than any... but was told that it's no longer an attractive venue.

The Golden State was once the cutting edge for the Country.

I'm kinda hoping that's a thing of the past... with one huge exception... Waymo!

Red States, like Utah and Texas, AI and Inflation are having negative impacts on Employment and Affordability...i.e. it isn't just CA and SF dealing with economic headwinds.

infested and has horrible infrastructure. It was destroyed from within, which makes it all that much harder to digest.
