Markets vs MSM

Based on the "reporting" by the MSM the war with Iran is a disaster for the country and the world... but the folks with $kin in the game see things very differently.

Or is this irrational exuberance just algorithm driven?

Both are true 'cause of technology. The impact of AI explosion is bigger than that of war explosion

It's not just wall street. South Korean market up 47% YTD 2026, Taiwan 27% YTD, Japan 16.9 YTD, China shenzhen (Chinese Nasdaq) 12% YTD. All because AI explosion. The world AI center, pacific countries' stock markets, can weather the storm of the war. This round of AI wave is real.

On the other hand, if you look at Europe market, its not good and will be worse. Because Europe have few technology companies, and are behind AI explosion. Plus Europe dont have much energy production.

So both MSM and market tell true stories, depending where (which region, which country and which sector) you look at.

I believe this is what they refer to as the K shaped economy.

Similar to what happened in Covid. Those with substantial assets do ok, and those without can’t reach escape velocity. I think these fabricated crises are the wave of the future as is political unrest. But, as long as there are relatively free markets in the U.S. where businesses can move, now TX and FL, the market will benefit from the confidence of boomer and foreign $$$.

The Yacht Market is also K shaped.

Against. We just had people cheering for Iran. Economic self interest be damned, hating and opposing Trump is the priority. It’s a weird time and I don’t see an end in sight for things to get better. Both sides hate each other and the future will be nothing but different levels of revenge.
