Was sick. Giving up 7 unanswered goals. Do the kids have fight? Yes. Do they need spirited coaching like, "get your head out of your arse?" yes.
My granddaughter, I am now happy, committed to Princeton. Having a great senior season so far. She wanted to follow her mom and dad, but she had a 'gut'. So my coffee will be in Frist Center. Last summer when "recruiting" was not kosher, but danced around, her elite team from Greenwich area, Brunswick, etc beat the number 2 in country at Maryland Classic. She had 3 goals and 3 assists as a middle. Her 3 goals were all of face-offs at midfield, jump, scoop and fly down the slot. Foot speed exceptional. When her team went up 8-6 with 2 minutes left, she dropped to D to cover Long Island's top kid, heading to Duke.
After game, an "ND asst." walked right by her heading to LI star who my bloodline just had for lunch in last 2 minutes. Never said one word or even looked. All top players get mail...even tho borderline kosher before juniors can be recruited. Nothing from ND. We have letters from G'Town, every Big 10, ACCs.....none from ND.
A big point to make. She watched ND blow the game yesterday. She reacted to NDs "D" setup and reaction to how they adjusted to pick plays, etc. She felt her summer team has far better D coaching system. She knows one ND defender who must have had her family sponsor coaching salaries as she could not start for her Prep team. So physically inept, weak, and stops defending at times that cannot be reasoned.
We need a "D" coach. The BC kid doing offense is fine. You put out 100% or come out. 2 players at least look bored as middies try so hard on doubling up attackers.
Painful
