JCPOA doesn’t end Iran nuclear weapon program. It is just a pause at best.

JCPOA is a bad deal. But it doesn’t justify a war on Iran. Trump’s war on Iran is bad and stupid. But it doesn’t mean JCPOA is a good solution.

These deals do not expire - they are renegotiated and renewed. I promise you that was the assumption for the JCPOA. Neither side expected it to expire; neither side saw this as a temporary measure.

What leverage you have by then to renegotiate and renew with Iran after sunset clause? You already used/exchanged sanctions with a deal of 10-15 year pause.

There is a strong hardliner side in Iran. Iran is a strange country and no countries including China and Russia like Iran. But I will talk about that next time. The point to you here is no matter how good you’re on the subject of WMD, if you don’t understand Iran’s internal political affairs which is deeply divided and fail to link it to your nuclear agreement, i.e., you treat Iran as one united side, you will make mistakes.
