They invented chess and their time table is Eternity.

There was never anyway to beat them. I’d like that Obama understood this but he chose the useless strategy of appeasement

It’s better to pull the plug on this fucking disaster now rather than later. The hawks would like us to invade.

You’d think we would have learned. But no.

and saved a million casualties…TEMPORARILY.

And then Adolf would get the bomb and he already had rockets.

If the mullahs remain in power they will continue funding terror throughout the Middle East and beyond and eventually they will build a nuke

Both regimes:

Brutally repressive dictatorships.

Believe in their eternal destiny

Have secret police to control the masses.

Attack their neighbors without cause

Have allies who are enemies of the US

Have conned appeasement from naive heads of state

Want to commit genocide against Jews

Have worked on building nukes

Cannot be trusted to keep and treaties

Are motivated and compelled by HATE

There may come a time to criticize the deal, but to do so now, when you know nothing, is just political partisanship. You are telling people that you hate the shit that will be served for dinner, when the table hasn't even been set.

Hell, Conor, a former freakin' marine, is hoping for a loss for the US. Shameful and embarrassing for him, and for all of you agreeing with him.

Wait and see, and if it is a bad deal, then criticize it. Until then, you are just making things up.

create a new narrative to give trump and his brain-dead administration the illusion of competency. Curly’s is a perfect example of it. His statement - “ I’d like that Obama understood this but he chose the useless strategy of appeasement”.

You all may have disagreed with Obama but the facts still remain - his deal with Iran was a success in doing what djt can no longer get. Djt’s war was a catastrophic bungle. Hegseth called religion into the attack, djt called it a regime change and the GOP calls it a confrontation (not a war - to skirt legal liability).

Again Ned,

What was the objective?
What was the justification?
What was the legal and/or constitutional authority?
What were the risks? Immediate and long term?
What are the costs? Short term and long term?
Any economic consequences?
Did invading Iran strengthen or weaken the United States standing in the Middle East and globally?
Did invading Iran strengthen or weaken our national security?

None of these questions were meaningfully considered by Trump 8 weeks ago. And hence, it’s been a colossal and costly mess. Fact.

Yet, Ned the Cheerleader is hoping “the deal” will make all of the above questions immaterial. As Chris has aptly stated, any deal to end the war is better than continuing the war. We are cutting our losses. Yet, it is a defeat as “regime change” was the objective per Trump’s own words.

When did we invade Iran?

Are you still concerned (or cheering for) "total defeat."

I'm prepared to criticize the deal. I'm just not making stuff up about it, creating strawman I can tear apart, so I can score pre-midterm election domestic political points. The stakes are higher than that. But, please, by all means, why don't you continue to hope for failure and "total defeat" of the United States.

Hopefully they will not get a US funded path to terrorism and nuclear weapons, like they had under the JCPOA. Amazing that you can think that was a good deal.

Perhaps if you are an anti-colonialist who hates the West, you can like that deal.

Or, perhaps you are just not paying attention.

But, if people are worried about it being a good deal for the United States, then they should definitely criticize it early and often.
