We went thru Bankruptcy and cleared out the corruption rot from decades of Dem machine rule.
Thanks to our having four magnificent seasons we've never had a serious homeless problem.
Our race relations are probably the best in the country (in a city of >80% blacks we've a had a two term white mayor).
The big problem in Michigan is the liberal white women mafia that run the state (an overreaction to the Trump misogyny).
Fortunately, our public service unions do not have a choke hold on our public finances.

Life is about adaptability to constant change. Our blue regions seem stuck in the past.
Detroit got locked into a corruption cycle of union dominance and race baiting.
California seems to be following this same path.
really got my attention. of course, that’s also why I left the state a more than a decade ago.
