Are political "issues" merely "cards" to play to win elections?

I mean, if "climate change" threatens life on earth is it morally "responsible" for a political party to drop it from its platform because it's not polling well?

election messaging to resonate with what they believe their target voters will agree with. As for Climate Change, Registered Democrats have no doubt that their candidates will continue to join with 195 other nations on this planet in doing the right thing for humanity's future here...so, the messaging to Independents and disaffected Republicans will be tuned to what's on their minds right now...i.e. Trump's failures to deliver on his promises to reduce living costs for average Americans...and not getting the U.S. involved in unnecessary wars...among other things, like not violating our 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th and 14th Amendments...along with his rampant 'Family and Friends' Corruptions. Ooops!...forgot about the Epstein Files...

There's so much in DJT's SWAMP to talk about...not enough room for CC this time around.

Note that Dems have a documented track record of seeking...and passing...bipartisan legislation (Infrastructure, CHIPS,),..while Trump has none...not even trying.
