left as to make stalin smile. They ushered in their own demise.
in watching the disasters unfold. This is what the majority of people who bothered to show up at the polls wanted, and receive it they will. The fact that most could not be bothered to show up and vote against literal communists makes me question whether the folks who sat it out even have much of a problem with who was elected.

You know how you label Trump a fascist, even though he runs as a Republican? It's the same idea with "democratic socialists" and their underlying Marxist ideology.
if you look up the characteristics of fascism, Trump exudes almost all of them:
Extreme Nationalism: An obsession with national rebirth, racial or cultural purity, and a fixation on perceived historical grievances, decline, or victimization.
Dictatorial Leadership and Authoritarianism: Power is consolidated in a supreme leader or small ruling elite, often backed by a cult of personality.
Suppression of Dissent: The violent or legal suppression of political opponents, independent labor unions, a free press, and critics.
Militarism and Violence: The glamorization of the military, war, and paramilitary organizations. Violence is often viewed as a legitimate tool for achieving political goals.
Scapegoating: The identification of a common "enemy"—such as minority groups, immigrants, or political rivals—to unify the public and direct internal frustrations outward
State-Directed Economy (Corporatism): Rather than taking over all private property, the state heavily regulates and organizes economic and labor sectors to serve national objectives
Anti-Intellectualism and Propaganda: Hostility toward academia and the arts, paired with the state's tight control of mass media and information to shape public narratives
Rigid Social and Gender Roles : Heavy emphasis on traditional, hyper-masculine roles and societal conformity.
