Obama left on the desk for Trump...N Korea, Russia, Syria, to name a few. Countries and terrorist organizations feared Trump, they don't fear Biden. Do I think Trump would have handled the current situation better? It's a straw man argument; he wouldn't have had to address it.

I don’t blame Trump. The biggest mistakes were made by Bush.
But Obama should not have “surged,” so he is second in the line of blame. And Trump should have pulled out too. But he is not to blame.
Really no President is. The Afghans were incorrigible.
We are not good at nation building. Residents of the country have to want to take on that role. W
e are good at quick rescues or total war with unconditional surrender. Anything in between is not a role for our military. Frankly, nation building should be left to trade and cultural expansion.

This is true which is why I still advocate pullout-but down the road now
so as to avoid even worse things. Maybe Biden can get some new advisors and military planners, but I think the Taliban has decided he is weak and will act accordingly. Drones aren’t going to cut it, and the whole rest of the worlds enemies are watching right now….considering what they might get away with doing.
I think we need to bring in forces and shut these demanding Taliban up. We cannot leave on their terms…it is not a matter of pride that makes me say this…it is because it is dangerous with these terrorists to do this.
American's hate to hear it as much as I hate to type it, but extermination is a legitimate course of
action. The Taliban and their peers will fight until no one is left standing. Their area of the world has known nothing any than war. it's like dealing with a bully. Leave no doubt who is in charge and let them know they exist only because we allow them to walk the earth.
