After all, they have jumped in other cases with far less information. This is a scenario of a white cop with a history of bullying and cruel behavior is reported by witnesses to have physically beaten a black man and thereafter pinned a bunch of potentially bogus charges onto him. I find their silence puzzling.
Is the reason:
1) they are unaware? The story has hit all major sports news services today, so if this is the case, they should be quickly involved.
2) It's a Notre Dame player, and they are looked differently (kind of like how that suspended ESPN anchor looked at RGIII),and
also there is a high hate factor against ND as a whole
3) They have negotiated a deal with the DNC to keep a low profile from here until the election (to avoid protests which might work against Hillary overall in the mind of the larger public who tend to sympathize with the BlueLives) in return for favorable treatment to their organization/cause thereafter. The DNC did cozy up to the BLM movement a lot during their convention, and I am reminded that NOW looked the other way when Bill's bimbo episodes and rape allegations came to light in return for aggressive pro-abortion policy.
4) Some other explanation - please provide.

This case was high profile even without them. I think #3.
